Alison Noble has made major contributions to medical image computing. Her research has

A former Director of the Oxford Institute of Biomedical Engineering (2012–2016), she is currently Vice President and Foreign Secretary of the Royal Society. She has received an OBE for services to Science and Engineering in 2013, was appointed a CBE for services to Engineering and Biomedical Imaging in 2023, and was awarded the Royal Society’s Gabor Medal in 2019.
