Organised by the AI4People Institute together with the Atomium – European Institute for Science and Democracy, the Summit aims to advance concrete discourse and drive actionable progress in artificial intelligence (AI) governance and regulation, embedding ethics at the core of responsible AI innovation.
Building upon the insights from the Paris Summit discussions, the Summit will feature seven working groups, covering topics ranging from AI fairness and sustainability to governance, healthcare and global standards.

The aim of the Playbook is to promote a balanced and pragmatic approach to core ethical principles, one that goes “beyond regulatory compliance”. By offering actionable recommendations, highlighting existing resources, and showcasing real-world use cases and activities, the guidance emphasizes that adopting an ethical perspective is the most effective way to prevent costly mistakes.
Since the publication of the AI4People Ethical Framework for a Good AI Society in 2018, AI4People have strongly promoted the start of a broader debate on AI Ethics in Europe, which laid the foundations of the regulatory process. Today it is critical to view AI governance not merely as a regulatory obligation but as an ethical imperative.
