Speakers of the AI4People’s Conversation on the AI Act

AI4People Institute thanks all the speakers of the AI4People’s Conversation on the AI Act for making the event on Tuesday 21 May a success:

👉 ROBERT MADELIN (AI4People Institute) for moderating the event and presenting AI4People Limited, the spin-off of AI4People Institute to help companies in the implementation phase of the AI Act by bringing together leading experts from Academia.

👉 LUCIANO FLORIDI (University Of Yale, AI4People) for his overview on the birth of AI4People Institute, on our work in 2018 that contributed to the process that led to the AI Act and on the current growth phase of regulatory initiatives underway around the world: United States, Japan, Chile, Indonesia, Canada.

👉 DRAGOS TUDORACHE (European Parliament) for his masterful overview on the next steps of the AI Act for the regulators, both European and national, for the companies that will have to comply, also for our citizens.

👉 MARTIN ULBRICH (European Commission) for his speech on the current state of the art of the AI Office and about the trajectory the European Commission expects the AI office to have.

👉 LUCA BERTUZZI (Tech Journalist, ex Euractiv) for his useful insights on the crucial implementation phase of the AI Act for the European Commission and for businesses and on what this will also mean for other regulators who are looking at the AI Act .

👉 VIRGINIA GHIARA (Fujitsu Research of Europe) for her previews of the new AI4People Institute Report “Towards an Ethics by Design Approach for AI” and the programs for the Institute’s activities next year. Kristian Bartholin for his overview from the Convention on Articial Intelligence and human rights from the Council of Europe bringing together 46 member states.

👉 MICHELANGELO BARACCHI BONVICINI (AI4People Ltd) for sharing the next steps of AI4People Ltd and the plans of its Scientific Network to support global businesses with an independent AI evaluation not only to comply with the law but also to act in accordance with the ethical principles.
