Principal Researcher AI Ethics, Fujitsu (Rapporteur)
Virginia Ghiara is a Senior Research Manager at Fujitsu Research of Europe, where she supports adherence to international AI regulations and standards and works on the development of new AI ethics technologies. Virginia is an active member of the ART/1 Artificial Intelligence Committee at the British Standards Institution (BSI), the Information Technology Industry Council’s AI Futures Initiative Task Force, and the Association of AI Ethicists. With a PhD in the philosophy of science and over nine years of experience in evidence-based policy and the philosophy of AI, Virginia brings extensive expertise to her work at the intersection of technology, ethics and policy.
